Dr. Venetia Koussia
Executive Director of Council on Competitiveness of Greece, Independent Non-Executive Director at Attica Bank, Non-Executive Director at American Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, Founder of VenetiaKoussia.net

During her longstanding career, Dr Venetia Koussia has acquired senior management positions (being CEO for more than 25 years) in companies of various industry sectors, leading them successfully through highly volatile market conditions by designing and implementing socially responsible growth strategies.

Since 2018 she serves as the executive Director of the Council on Competitiveness of Greece. She is a founding member of NED Club in Greece and an Independent Non-executive Director at the Board of Attica Bank. Through her role as a non-executive member of the Board of various professional organizations such as the AmCham and the Greek Association of Chief Executive Officers, she has been participating in the development and execution of initiatives aiming to improve the competitiveness landscape of Greece. Since 2013 she also chairs the Employment Committee of AmCham.

Since Spring 2016, being the founder of VenetiaKoussia.net, acts as a trusted solution focused advisor to Boards and CEOs relating to People, Processes and Partnerships.

Advocate of lifelong learning and on top of numerous executive and leadership programs from top institutes, such as INSEAD, she obtained the Financial Times Diploma for Non-Executive Directors (NED).

She holds a Ph.D. in Corporate Strategic Planning for Banking Services and an M. Phil. in Agricultural Marketing and Market Research, both from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom. Her first degree (B.Sc.) is in Business Administration from the American College of Greece.
